ADOPT ME!
They are one of the most misunderstood and vulnerable dogs at the shelters.  Go to
any shelter, anywhere, and you will find it full of pitbulls.  Many of these pitbulls are good
dogs, but due to their breed, they are overlooked by potential adopters.  Most pitties are
euthanized, never to be given a chance.
I am fortunate enough to work for a shelter who is pitbull friendly.  They do their best to
get the adoptable pitbulls with stable temperments and loving hearts a good home.  I am
proud to be part of the staff that gives these pitbulls a voice.  And to help with the efforts
of getting these dogs placed, I am offering to cross post them on this webpage.
So if you have questions on any of the dogs listed here, you can contact me at

Collars
Charlie is a young male pitbull about
10months to a year old.  He white with
black patches. He is full of life and
energy.  He is going to need some
obedience training as he is mouthy and
pulls/mouths the leash.  He is very food
oriented, so treats to redirect his
attention away from the leash worked
very well.  He is good about being
handled.  He LOVES his squeaky toys,
and does share them with people. He
already understands sit, and takes the
treats nicely.  An obedience class
should help to polish him up.  A home
with a submissive female probably
would be best for Charlie.  Definitely no
small dogs, cats or small pets for him.
10m-1year old.  He is white with blue
brindle patches.  He is a little more
cautious in different situations, but
once he is comfortable his personality
shines through. With the proper
socialization and training, Ed will
become a good companion.  A dog
training class is also reccommended
for Ed.  This will help to build his
confidence and give him the skills he
needs.
Nero is one sweet Cane Corso puppy.
He is about 6 months old.  He loves
people and interacting with everyone
he meets.  He is also very food
motivated, so this will help with his
training.  Again, a dog training class is
reccommended for Nero.  This will help
to improve his social skills and his
doggie interaction skills as well.
old. She is white with Brindle patches.
She is very interactive with people.  In
fact, she acts very silly around people
just to get the attention.  She is very
good about being handled even during
play and while eating.  She does pull
on the leash alot, so she'll need work
in that area.  She knows the "sit" and
"down" commands.  TaTa can not
share a home with cats or small
animals.  She also can be a bit
dominant with other dogs, so a
submissive male may work better for
her.
Ernie is another 1 year old goofy male
full of energy.  He is definitely going to
need structure and training in order to
be a successful member of the family.
He is very people oriented and
responsive.  He LOVES his toys and is
very good with sharing them with
people.  He did respond to "sit", but he
was usually so excited that it was hard
for him to be consistant with it.  He
doesn't seem to mind the cats at the
shelter.  And he definitely liked
interacting with Springer, the female
dog used in the evaluations.  Ernie has
a shiny black coat with white patches.
Here is another 1 yr old male,
Sampson.  He is a red red nose.  He is
very interactive and playful.  He likes to
engage with people.  He has a basic
understanding of manners, but will
need patience and training in order to
improve those skills.  He does get
mouthy, but does settle down when
corrected properly.  He did show some
interest in the cats at the shelter, along
with some other small animals, so
smaller pets are not reccommended
for Sampson.  He did interact well with
Springer, the female dog used in the
evaluations.
Ralphie is about 1 1/2 years old.  He is
listed as a boxer/pit mix.  He is a very
handsome red brindle with white.  He
definitely takes after the boxer body
style.  He is also neutered already.
He is one of the sweetest dogs that I
know.  He has a good foundation of
obedience work in place.  He
understands "sit", "down" , "heel", etc.
He has an engaging personality with
everyone that he meets.  I'm not sure
why he is still here at the shelter, but
he really needs to go to a home that is
going to appreciate him.  Ralphie loves
to play with other dogs too.  He is a
staff favorite.  You have to meet him to
believe it.
